
Yuchen is currently a master's student in the School and Applied Child Psychology program at the University of Calgary. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from George Brown College. Her graduate training focuses on psychoeducational assessment, consultation, and evidence-based academic, social, and emotional interventions to support school-aged children and adolescents.
At Emery Psychology, Yuchen assists psychologists throughout the assessment process. She speaks English and Mandarin and is a beginner learner of French. Yuchen is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and families from all backgrounds and brings a strong appreciation for diverse cultural and linguistic experiences.
Yuchen values fostering supportive and inclusive environments that recognize the unique strengths and needs of each child and adolescent, drawing on her experience working with children and youth across educational, community, hospital, and early childhood settings. She is dedicated to empowering children and adolescents to build on their strengths, navigate challenges, develop confidence in their learning, and enhance their social-emotional well-being and overall development.
