Julia Farella

Julia is a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology candidate at Yorkville University. She has a background in child development, which informs her thoughtful and compassionate approach to supporting clients.
Prior to pursuing counselling, Julia worked in educational settings supporting students, families, and school communities from both educational and administrative leadership perspectives. Through these experiences, she developed a passion for helping young people navigate challenges, build confidence, and recognize their strengths. Her interest in counselling grew directly from her work with students and families and the meaningful relationships she built within school communities.
Julia is particularly interested in working with children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing anxiety, academic stress, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and emotional challenges. She values creating a supportive, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
Her approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and a belief that every individual possesses unique strengths and the capacity for growth. Julia is committed to providing neuro-affirming, client-centred care and looks forward to supporting clients and families as they work toward their goals.
Julia is completing her clinical training under the supervision of the Emery Psychology team.
