BRIANNA MCGIRR
Clinical Counsellor
Brianna is a professional counsellor with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families. She holds a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and has completed specialized training, including The Science of Well-Being for Teens (Yale University) and a Certificate in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies (The Mental Health Academy).
Her clinical background includes working with neurodiverse children and teens as well as working with youth experiencing anxiety, depression, and OCD. In addition to her work at Emery Psychology, Brianna is a high school counsellor, where she supports students’ social and emotional development and works with families to foster growth and well-being.
As a clinician, Brianna’s goals are to provide a safe, comfortable space to help individuals navigate difficult and vulnerable periods of their lives. She works collaboratively with clients to deepen their understanding of symptoms and psychological well-being, while developing strategies to navigate challenges and build resilience for the future.
At Emery Psychology, Brianna works under the supervision of Dr. Emery as she pursues her certification as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
